| A very rare sculpture of Hayagriva from the Kingdom of Mustang (Mustang is now administered by Nepal, it is where the Tibetan Kampas, warriors for Tibet against the Chinese, where relocated. It is still a very restricted area that only in the last few years has been open to limited visits). It was acquired from a trader out of Mustang in northern Nepal by an WHO doctor residing there. It is wood with color pigments and gold gilding. In overall excellent condition with very minor damage. It is 14"(35.5cm) high, 10"(25.5cm)wide, and 5"(12.8cm)deep. 19th century or earlier. | ||
